More on Alternative Banner Stand Poles

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

We have discussed our banner stands and  pop up stands and, in particular, the pole types.

Please note that the newer Ultima telescopic banner stand poles work on a “twist and lock” principle.

These poles work in particular way. They are telescopic but feature an internal cam mechanism which locks when twisted in the right direction. On occasion these poles can be deceptive and appear not to be working. However, this is more of then than not, due to the pole being twisted in the wrong direction. Please check this carefully if you believe your pole may be malfunctioning.

For example our banner stands come with two main pole options - fixed pole and telescopic pole.

Alternative Banner Stand Poles

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

We have dozens of different models of banner stands and  pop up stands in our range, many from different manufacturers. Whilst in principle most operate in the same there are also many features specific to that particular item.

For example our banner stands come with two main pole options - fixed pole and telescopic pole.

The Quickscreen 3 for example features a telescopic pole with variable height so you can got from 1.6m to 2.2m with the same banner stand. With intelligently designed graphics that means the same banner stand can fir in a whole variety of display spaces. The New Barracuda and Excalibur have a similar telescopic pole of the twist and lock variety.

Fitting Lights to an Evolution Quick or Express Pop Up Stand

Monday, November 16th, 2009

We have discussed how nearly all of the banner stands and  pop up stands in our portfolio can be fitted with lights.

If you have purchased a Showstopper Pop Up Stand (exclusive to The 3D Centre) then light fitting is extremely simple and requires no tools or special expertise. Here are some tips:

Step One. Hold the halogen lamp upright with the bulb facing upwards

Step Two. Raise the light, still upright, until the base of the lamp is sitting between two of the Cris cross scissor bars at the top of the stand. Make sure the base is tight into the apex of the “x” shape that the scissor arms form.

Step 3. Gently lower the light forwards and you sill see the the square base of the light “catches” between the scissor arms and sits there perfectly balanced!

Fitting Lights to a pop Up Stand or Banner Stand

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Nearly all of the banner stands and  pop up stands in our portfolio can be fitted with lights. In the case of banner stands these are, more often than not, simple low voltage downlighters.

In the case of most of our pop up exhibition stands the lights are of the halogen variety.

Our most popular banner stand lights feature a simple bulldog clip which you simply clamp on to the pole at the back of the stand. The light then leans forward, downlighting the front face of the display stand.

In the case of pop up lights our clever halogen lights require no tools of fixings as they simply cantilever on the top of the stand. We have simple instruction sheets for this operation which can be downloaded from our website or we can email one to you on request.
