Choosing a Modular Exhibition Stand

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

We probably ought to start off by agreeing and defining what we might mean by the phrase “modular exhibition stand”. When we use this phrase at The 3D Centre we are generally referring to a stand which has been designed and built around modules which can be used and re-used by re-positioning the elements created. The idea behind a modular approach is simply to make it easy to cater for a range of stand shapes and sizes by using parts appropriate to that display hence making it more efficient and cost effective along the way. If you would like to discuss modular options please feel free to give us a call on 0845 470 0845.

About frame systems

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

I was today asked by a client about the potential advantages and disadvantages of a frame system as opposed to a regular pop up stand. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with our frame systems (frame systems is a 3D Centre term coined to describe any metal frame system which accept graphics, either mechanically or magnetically, the term is a broad one but helps us differentiate this style of product). When you start to analyse the differences it is easy to see the most suitable applications for each type of product. The frame system requires no tools with the exception of a hex or Allen key. At most exhibitions you will be able to see many examples.

Custom Modular Exhibition Stands

Monday, September 13th, 2010

The beauty of a custom modular exhibition is that it has the full impact of an expensive custom, or purpose built, exhibition stand whilst delivering huge value when compared to the cost of designing, building, installing and removing a purpose built stand. This is what makes a custom modular approach so attractive and enticing to the budget holder. At The 3D Centre you will find all the raw materials from which to create your perfect custom modular display. We can advise you on the best approach and supply your exhibit within the fastest possible turnaround time. A ten day turnaround even for a large stand is common place.

Choosing an Exhibition Stand (7)

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

So, one thing we know is that there are many, many different options from which to choose when it comes to commissioning an exhibition display for your organisation. The fundamental issues you must address include stand space, shell scheme or open space, custom build or system build, self install or sub contractor install. If you opt to go the modular system, self install route then there are still many key choices to be made. For example, are you best off with a pole and panel system, a gantry system , a frame system or a pop up system? How will your kit be transported and how many people, expert or non-expert, will be available to unload, unpack and install? A useful technique is to start with a budget and see what can be achieved within that. Or, you can simply contact us to discuss your options! 0845 470 0845

Choosing an Exhibition Stand (6)

These stand systems can be the metal frame variety. Popular brand names are Octanorm, Metro and Linear. Because they are metal they can be extremely strong as well as lightweight and fast to assemble. The common anodised silver finish contributes a glossy exhibition feel, giving a professional look to the finished display. Graphics are easy to fit to these systems and there are many different options. For example rigid graphic panels can be used, either fitted to the face of the system of within the frame. More recently fabric graphics have become popular and most systems now offer this as an option. You can always talk to us ion 0845 470 0845.
